How to Trust God When Scared

What the Bible says

1. Scripture

   What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.

   Trust does not wait until fear disappears. It can begin while fear is still present.

2. Scripture

   For I the Lord thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.

   This image is personal and close. God is described as helping and holding, not watching from far away.

3. Scripture

   Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me.

   The valley is still real, but God’s presence changes how it is walked through.

A grounded way to understand this

When you are scared, trust may look very small at first. The Bible shows that even a small turn toward God matters.
