How to Trust God After Disappointment

What the Bible says

1. Scripture

   Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

   Trust often begins where understanding runs out.

2. Scripture

   But I trusted in thee, O LORD: I said, Thou art my God. My times are in thy hand.

   The psalmist places timing and outcome back into God's hands.

3. Scripture

   For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.

   God's ways may not always make immediate sense from a human view.

A grounded way to understand this

Trust after disappointment does not mean pretending the pain was small. It means choosing not to let disappointment become the final authority over what God can still do.
