Fear & AnxietyMore in CourageScripture-grounded answer

Does God Want Me to Be Fearless?

God does not call you to pretend you never feel fear. Scripture shows that courage is not fake confidence, but trust in God while fear is still present.

What the Bible says

  1. Scripture
What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.
    Psalm 56:3

This verse admits fear can be present. The response is not denial, but trust.

  2. Scripture
Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed.
    Joshua 1:9

God’s command toward courage is grounded in His presence and faithfulness.

  3. Scripture
    Be not afraid, only believe.
    Mark 5:36

Jesus often calls people away from fear and toward faith, especially when circumstances look impossible.

A grounded way to understand this

God is not asking you to become emotionally numb. He is inviting you to let faith become stronger than fear.
