Why Does God Allow Suffering? A Bible Answer
This is one of the hardest questions anyone can ask, and the Bible treats it with the weight it deserves. Scripture does not give one tidy answer, but it gives several true ones, and it never mocks the asker.
What the Bible says

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
John 16:33 Jesus is honest upfront: in this world you will have trouble. He does not promise exemption, but peace within it and His victory over it.

Does God cause suffering?
