Why Is God Making Me Wait?

What the Bible says

1. Scripture

   And thou shalt remember all the way which the LORD thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee.

   Many biblical waiting seasons involved testing and preparation rather than punishment.

   I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope.

   The Bible repeatedly ties waiting with hope rather than hopelessness.
