   Bitterness is described as something that grows and spreads when left hidden.

   Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

   Forgiveness is difficult because it requires releasing revenge into God’s hands.

   Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger... be put away from you... forgiving one another.

   Forgiveness often requires releasing anger, not just saying words.
