What Does the Bible Say About Pain?
The Bible treats pain seriously. It gives language for grief, suffering, weakness, and endurance without pretending that pain is easy to carry.
What the Bible says
- Scripture
He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.
Psalm 147:3 Pain is not ignored by God. Scripture describes Him as one who heals and binds wounds.

My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.
2 Corinthians 12:9 Weakness does not make God absent. Paul was told that grace could meet him in the middle of weakness.
