How to Control Desires Biblically

What the Bible says

1. Scripture

   All things are lawful unto me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.

   Even something permitted can become dangerous if it begins to control you.

2. Scripture

   Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness.

   Sinful desires are meant to be resisted and put to death, not entertained.

3. Scripture

   Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word.

   Scripture gives direction for cleansing and guarding the path of life.
